Changing the Money

Have you stopped to think, why it is the banks and the government have so much power over the general population?

We agree to pay unreasonable taxes and unreasonable charges on energy and financial products because we find ourselves without a choice. We have to use their system to obtain and continue to receive basic life maintaining resources. Their system is based on money.

Without a bank account and card or cash we cannot buy gas, electricity, council tax and water utilities, we cannot go to the supermarket to buy food and we cannot pay for bus or train tickets to get to work or get home. We need the money system to buy clothes and shoes and to obtain dental and eye care. In fact basic items such as paracetamol or hair care has to be obtained by using the financial system that we have no choices over.

If we removed the financial system that is used by the government and the banks to control uss, then they lose their power to control us.

I can hear the reader sighing, easier said than done! Well actually now, we can empower ourselves and while it may take some effort to unravel ourselves, we can do it and today is the day to start. I would suggest having look at the one act a day page to get yourself going. This is particularly valuable not only for the unemployed that feel financially trapped, but even for those that go to work everyday and are either stuck in a dead end workerbee job for a large corporation or have work satisfaction but feel financially cornered.

To make a start, I'm going to suggest the following buy a packet of seeds. You can even do this online. If youre enthusiastic, buy one packet for every available windowsill. If you're on unemployment benefit, then start small but remember planting a packet of seeds that enables you to provide something to eat that would cost you ten times more to buy is the very first step to doing something for yourself!

Once you have done this number one step to self sufficiency, make a list. remember that you have skills that dont require a certificate that can make a huge difference. many people dont value their own worth. can you sew a button, or stictch up a gap in a seam? Yes? Then you can sew. Have you ever put flatpack furnitire together? yes?Then you can assemble furniture. What about skills that you havent thought about? Welding? Soldering? Can you do basic woodwork? Graphic design?

Make a list of what you can do like this.

4. Radio enthusiast

7. knitting
8. car repair

10. babysitting
11. dog walking/grooming

These are to name but a few. There are hundreds of things that we can all do. And all the things we do can become currency. If you can grow your own food, then you are no longer dependant on the currency system to ensure that you eat. If you grow enough for you and your family, and have some left over, you can swap what you have left over for someone elses excess produce, the food, not money then becomes the currency.

 The same can be done, with anything else that we possess, whether it is a tangible asset or a skill. To take back our power we need to change the currency, and to change the currency we need to start somewhere small and simple like buying a packet of seeds.
